Position: Communication Officer

Responsibilities:
- Managing Social Media:
- Oversee and manage all social media platforms, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging.
- Create and schedule content, including posts, images, and videos.
- Monitor social media channels for inquiries, comments, and engagement, and respond in a timely manner.
- Disseminating Civic Path's Message:
- Develop and implement communication strategies that align with Civic Path's mission and values.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and clear message across all channels.
- Identifying Success Stories:
- Collaborate with program teams to identify and document success stories.
- Showcase these stories through various channels, including social media, blogs, newsletters, and media outlets.
- Writing Blogs:
- Write, edit, and publish blogs related to Civic Path’s initiatives, success stories, and relevant industry topics.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Devising and Implementing Communication Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to enhance Civic Path's visibility and impact.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns and make necessary adjustments.
- Media Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets.
- Prepare and distribute press releases, and coordinate media interviews and coverage as needed.
- Content Development:
- Design and produce various communication materials, including brochures, newsletters, and reports, that align with the organization's brand.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure visually compelling content.
- Community Engagement:
- Participate in community events and forums to promote Civic Path's mission and programs.
- Develop partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance reach and impact.
- Crisis Communication Management:
- Prepare and implement a crisis communication plan to manage any potential issues or negative publicity.
- Monitor public opinion and respond proactively to mitigate any potential damage to Civic Path's reputation.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor the reach and impact of communication efforts using analytics tools.
- Prepare regular reports on communication activities, successes, and areas for improvement, and present to management as required.
- Compliance and Ethical Considerations:
- Ensure that all communications adhere to legal, ethical, and organizational guidelines and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, best practices, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Communication Studies, Development Studies, or a relevant discipline.
- At least one year of professional experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in English and Urdu; knowledge of regional languages is an asset.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and analytics.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and engaging diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in content management systems, graphic design tools, and other relevant software is a plus.
